A: Both women and men can be treated. However pregnant women should not be treated until at least nine months after they deliver.

However, the Palomar Intense Pulsed Light system is used by Womens' Physicians and Surgeons employ a new technology that provide treatments up to ten times faster than Lasers.

Q: Do lasers or IPL treatments cause cancer?
A: No, the frequencies of light employed are not in the range associated with cancer inducing effects. There is no evidence of an increased risk of cancer in the skin or any other organ.
